DATA PROTECTION

All customer information will be treated under the terms of the Data Protection Act. We will not pass on your details to other companies. We may identify and inform you of other products and services offered by Branx Fitness which would be of interest to you. You must tell us if you do not wish us to do so.

We do not store credit card details, nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Branx Fitness is a retailer of home and commercial fitness equipment based in the UK.

Branx Fitness is GDPR compliant and ensures the safeguarding of our customer data with respect. Your details will be kept safe and secure, only used by us, or those who work for us, and will not be shared with anyone else.

How do we use your information

Branx Fitness collects customer data for these purposes:

When you sign up for a Branx Fitness Account, we ask you for personal information. We may share this information with third parties in order to provide you with a better experience and to improve the quality of our services for the below purposes.

Marketing purposes to inform customers about relevant goods and services, sharing our best, free delivery periods and competitions.

We use a third-party provider to deliver our weekly e-newsletters to tell our customers about our offers, free delivery periods, as well as health tips and competitions.

Personal data may be used to send triggered emails, such as cart abandonment and purchase confirmation emails.

Personal data may be used to personalise marketing, for example to suggest products that are related to your previous purchases.

During the purchasing process in order to secure payment, delivery and tracking.

Approved finance companies who deal directly with the customer when requested to by the customer to facilitate their purchase.

Visitors to the website | When someone visits www.branxfitness.co.uk we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor’s behaviour patterns. We do this to find out visitor behavioural patterns on the website in order to improve the experience for the customer. This process does not identify individuals and we do not make any attempt to identify our visitors, nor does Google.

Search queries and results are logged anonymously to help us improve our website and search functionality. No user-specific data is collected by either Branx Fitness or any third party.

If we do collect personally identifiable information via our website, we will be up front about this and make it clear that we are collecting it and explain what we will be doing with it.

Use of cookies by Branx Fitness

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added, and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

We want to provide the best possible service to our customers and if we do not receive full details from our customers then there it will affect the customer experience in the below ways:

  • Warranty of their produces

How long is information retained for?

Due to the nature of our business where we provide home and commercial customers with fitness equipment which has on average a 5 year warranty and due to analysis into the customer life cycle when purchasing our fitness equipment, we will retain customer information for 5 years.

Due to HMRC rules and regulations we are legally obliged to retain customer records for 6 year.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have rights as an individual which you can exercise in relation to the information, we hold about you.

Branx Fitness is GDPR compliant and safeguards our customer data safely and with respect. Your details will be kept safe and secure, only used by us, or those who work for us, and will not be shared with anyone else.

Access to personal information

Branx Fitness tries to be as open as possible about giving people access to their personal information any by making a ‘subject access request’. Following that request, if we then hold information about you, we will:

  • Give you a description of it
  • Inform you of why we are holding it
  • Inform you who it could be disclosed to
  • Let you have a copy of your information

Please note that if you request that your personal information is deleted then that it will take Branx Fitness 48 hours to do so.
